This interview is gold!

Hey guys I have an interview/guest post from Jennifer at Art In Our Blood. Her blog is amazing, so inspiring, and I'm obsessed with it. Be sure to check it out soon! ^__^
[She thinks she has a rambling problem but I think it is just an interesting read! x)]

1. How did you start blogging?

When I got my 50 mm lens for my 16th birthday, I started my blog! Starting a personal style blog was something I had been wanting to do for a couple of months and I was just waiting till I got a new lens that was better suited for fashion photography, rather than the kit lens that came with my camera.

2. What do you think was the hardest thing when you first started blogging?

The hardest thing was probably figuring what worked best when it came to taking outfit photos: such as which poses were most flattering, what type of editing to do, and especially getting good at using the self-timer and remote when my sister couldn't photograph for me.

3. Did you ever want to quit blogging?
Never; I love blogging too much! I may have always wanted my blog to grow quicker in the beginning but I knew the only way to achieve that was by posting more and working harder.

4. How much has your life changed since you started blogging?

My life has changed so much it's crazy! Not only has my style become much more bold, but I noticed I am a lot more confident at school. I'm really grateful that companies will sponsor me clothing too because it gives me the creative freedom to experiment with different styles without breaking the bank. I keep to myself at school but now a lot more people know who I am because they read my blog or see my photos on Facebook; it always makes me day when someone who I may not know that well tells me they enjoy reading my blog! :) Just all the opportunities that have come from my blog and the support of my readers is insane: I'd never have guessed I'd get to work with my favorite store of all time, Wasteland, or get to do a photoshoot with Asociete. I can't forget all the wonderful friendships I have made from other bloggers I've met too; that is definitely the most rewarding aspect. I feel very blessed and am always grateful for all of it :)

5. What do your friends and family think of it?

My family is very supportive of it; my mom is always showing my blog to her friends :P My dad probably still finds it bizarre that hardly any of his money is spent on clothing for me now haha! My friends and peers at school think it's cool what I do and people always like to ask about the free clothes xD

6. What advice would you give to anyone new to blogging?

First impressions are everything; aside from having a clean and easy to navigate blog design (you can still make it creative without making it completely boring though), photos are what matter most. A poorly photographed, but great outfit, never gets as much attention as a well photographed, but less exciting outfit. My 50 mm lens was the best purchase I could have ever made for my blog! You only have one chance to draw a reader in when they visit your blog for the first time, you want to make sure it's the best impression you can make if you want to grow your readership to its full extent!

7. Pros and cons of blogging?

Pros would be the friends you make, of course getting free clothes (who doesn't like free stuff though? :P), and being inspired by other bloggers as well. The cons would be the difficulty in balancing blogging with your other activities while still posting consistently. I've gone to school in the morning really tired because I'd stay up late to edit my blog posts when it would have been better to just go to sleep. I can't stress the importance of enough sleep if you want to fend off senioritis!

xoxo, Bella
